Bill
has been my friend since the middle 1940s when he was only
10 years old, shopping with his parents at Hales Grocery
in Halls, Tennessee. Bill became, first, a helper at the store
and then an employee. He lived with my parents, attended Halls
High School and worked in the store after my brother Bob and
I went to college in the 1950s.
Bill has climbed the ladder of
success through education, commitment and dedication to
his church, his family, his business, and community.
A Christian gentleman of honesty and
integrity, Bill is like a brother to me and is a friend I have
cherished through the years. You will enjoy reading his story.
