G. Milton Luttrell was awarded a "Golden Poets" award for "Treasure of the Cave" in the World of Poetry's open contest in 1989. Mr. Luttrell has also received several outstanding achievement awards in poetry by the International Society of Poets. In 2006, Mr. Luttrell was nominated by the International Library of Poetry and published in their "Who's Who in Poetry" Compendium. His poetry was included in the Noble House, New York, London and Paris, "Favourite Memories", edition. The author received an award for "The Ghost of Osceola" recitation at the International Society of Poets convention and symposium in Las Vegas, NV in 2007. Additionally, several of his poems have appeared in nationally published anthologies. He has competed in various oral and written poetry contests.

Having been a musician since childhood, he has recently focused some of his writing on lyrics. In 2007, two of his lyrics were recorded and arranged by Hilltop Recording Company in Los Angeles, CA.They were "Ghost Train" and "Won't Fade Away" as sung by Cody Lyons, and "Lullaby Lies" sung by Ross Winters.
