What Readers are saying
- With the same rapier wit and
eloquent but engaging scene-setting that distinguish his courtroom
"work," Jerry Summers' compilation of stories is designed
to draw you into the history of Tennessee with dashes of Georgia
and Alabama. While each story stands alone, you'll want to quickly
turn the pages and wander through the quick glimpses of the past,
enjoying the deftly drawn portraits that make this region of
the nation unique and intriguing. Summers has done it again -
and this historian is glad he did.
- Linda Moss Mines, Chattanooga
and Hamilton County Historian
Within these pages, Jerry has - as usual - uncovered hidden nuggets
throughout the Tennessee Valley area and beyond. As equally talented
a writer as he is a lawyer, Jerry brings these stories to life
and treats his subjects with dignity and respect. Attorney, author,
advisor, and friend - the books written by Jerry Summers are
a true treasure trove ... as is he.
- Chip Chapman,
WDEF Television Anchor and Executive Producer, Tennessee Radio
Hall of Fame
- Tri-State Reflections highlights
the author's seemingly endless historical knowledge and creative
storytelling. With broad audience appeal, readers will be educated
on southern history and many southerners will feel nostalgic
as they remember these meaningful people and events.
- Tera Roberts, Chief
Executive Officer Orange Grove Center ,Inc.
With an experienced trial lawyer's eye for key evidence, Jerry
Summers once again reveals significant, if often quirky, facts
and legends of the three states, resulting in a rich volume of
local history and lore.
S - am D. Elliott, Attorney
Tri-State Reflections is a "page turner" which
is profound, touching, humorous, historical, and filled with
truthful facts. Jerry Summers reflects a large amount of research
with great detail. I highly recommend this book to anyone who
is interested in stories about the South.
- Tom Cox, Board Member
of Orange Grove Center
