About the Author
        Dr. R. Wayne Guffey, director of the Pastoral Counseling Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, holds a doctorate in education (Ed.D.) and has practiced in a private ministry of counseling and psychotherapy for over thirty years. His teaching preparation includes studies with the Association of Religion and Psychiatry, Esalen Institute and New South Academy for Psychotherapy, as well as extensive Gestalt training.
        He has made a professional contribution to the counseling field as a clinical member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, the Louisiana Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy and the Gestalt Institute of Atlanta.
